The Toronto Raptors just wrapped up a fairly successful season, especially considering that they were a lottery team just one year ago. Unfortunately, their offseason has already been lathered in drama.

According to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report, “word has circulated among rival front offices that Anunoby grew dissatisfied at times with his role in Toronto, where Barnes joined Pascal Siakam and Fred VanVleet as the primary ball-handlers in Nick Nurse’s offense.”

In turn, some have speculated that Anunoby could be a prime candidate to be traded this summer. What are three NBA trades that would benefit both him and the Raptors?

NBA Trades: 3 OG Anunoby trades for the Toronto Raptors – Utah Jazz

Raptors receive: Rudy Gobert

Jazz receive: OG Anunoby, Gary Trent Jr, 2024 First-Round Pick

This is the trade that everyone has been talking about. The Utah Jazz will likely be exploring trade options for Rudy Gobert, and the Toronto Raptors have been rumored as a potential destination.

Gobert and the Jazz were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs, and with their lack of recent success, breaking up the pairing of Gobert and Donovan Mitchell seems to be a likely outcome.

Anunoby would give Utah some much-needed help on the wing, providing them with a great two-way presence. He would also likely enjoy a larger role there as one of the team’s top options outside of Mitchell.

Meanwhile, the Raptors would get the center they need, and Gobert could solidify them as a top defense in the league. He’d be their third All-Star-caliber player, not including Rookie of the Year Scottie Barnes, and could help propel them into title contention.
